Double-clicking the installer just pops up Windows's "Open file with" dialog.  |
Your .ut2mod or .ut4mod file association is broken.
Download UT2kx Regcheck and run it to fix your file associations. |
| Installer doesn't detect installed UT2004 and refuses to install Unreal4Ever. |
Another mod has a bad installation-program and has overwriten, instead of updated your manifest.ini
To fix this problem add these lines to your manifest.ini

Your installation directory/system/manifest.ini
Example: C:/UT2004/System/manifest.ini

If you are running windows ME, or newer you can just click the file to un-pack it to your ut2004 directory
Else you can use 1 of the following programs:

Make sure you modified your ut2004.ini as said in the readme file:
Open your ut2004.ini and add these lines below the [Core.System] header:
Paths=../u4e/*.utx
Paths=../u4e/*.uax
Paths=../u4e/*.umx
Paths=../u4e/*.usx
Paths=../u4e/*.ukx

| Everything in the UT2kX versions has to be created from scratch, although are aim is to bring back all weapons, we will need time for that, if you give us the time though, your favorit will make its return!

| The Weapon Database has a description of each weapon.

| You can either mail us your suggestion or post it in the forum. We won't however make a special version just for you.

| How can I start U4E? |
- Start up UT2004
- Instant Action
- Select the gametype you want to play.
- Go to mutators tab
- Select the Unreal4ever mutator from the list
- click add or doubleclick the unreal4ever mutator
- You can adjust the options by clicking "configurate mutator" > and then hit the open button under the Unreal4Ever header.

| If i run a server the clients can't see any weapons? |
Add u4e3 to your serverpackages:
- Open ut2004.ini.
- Find the [Engine.GameEngine] header.
- Add this line below it :
ServerPackages=u4e3
